ALEXANDRA<\/small> LEWIS<\/small> is Senior Lecturer in English Literature and Director of the Centre for the Novel at the University of Aberdeen. She holds a PhD from Trinity College, Cambridge, where she was Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholar, and has taught at the Universities of Cambridge, Warwick, and Goldsmiths, London. Her publications on the Bront\u00eb<\/span>s include chapters in Acts of Memory: The Victorians and Beyond<\/i>, The Bront\u00ebs in Context<\/i>, Picturing Women\u2019s Health<\/i>, Feminist Moments: Reading Feminist Texts<\/i>, and Charlotte Bront\u00eb: Legacies and Afterlives<\/i>. She is editor of The Bront\u00ebs and the Idea of the Human: Science, Ethics, and the Victorian Imagination<\/i> (Cambridge University Press, 2018) and serves on the executive committee of both the British and the Australasian Associations for Victorian Studies.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
