\nEach man, formed in blood and born in it, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nWalks the Earth and sustained by it, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nReaching to the sky, and sheltered beneath it, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nHe ascends there only in his ending, becoming part of the stars. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nBlood gives new beginning, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nEarth gives sustenance, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe Sky gives dreams in life\u2014eternity in death. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nThus shall the Three be, one to the other. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

THE PROPHECY OF THE UNINVITED GUEST <\/p>\n

\nAmong the last to leave, among the first to come, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nSeeking a new host, uninvited, in a new place. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe power gained being the first, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nWas lost in being the last. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nHosts shall nurture it, unknowing, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nLike the guest wreathed in smiles <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nWhile secretly poisoning the larder. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nJealously guarded of its own power, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

Ne’er has, nor ever shall its host bear or sire children,<\/i> Yet ever it seeks to procreate. <\/i><\/p>\n

THE PROPHECY OF THE SLEEPING CHILD <\/p>\n

\nThe Sleeping Child, the youngest born <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nLives on in dreams, though <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nTo write her name within his tome <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nAnd no one yet has thought to mourn. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nThe middle child, who sleeping lies, <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\n‘Twixt watersky and shifting sands <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nSits silent, holding patient hands <\/i>\n<\/p>\n

\nUntil the day she can arise. <\/i>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
