Nine hun\u00addred and nine\u00adty-\u200bnine of ’em go<\/p>\n

By your looks, or your acts, or your glo\u00adry.<\/p>\n

But if he finds you and you find him,<\/p>\n

The rest of the world don’t mat\u00adter;<\/p>\n

For the Thou\u00adsandth Man will sink or swim<\/p>\n

With you in any wa\u00adter.<\/p>\n

You can use his purse with no more talk<\/p>\n

Than he us\u00ades yours for his spend\u00adings.<\/p>\n

And laugh and meet in your dai\u00adly walk<\/p>\n

As though there had been no lend\u00adings.<\/p>\n

Nine hun\u00addred and nine\u00adty-\u200bnine of ’em call<\/p>\n

For sil\u00adver and gold in their deal\u00adings;<\/p>\n

But the Thou\u00adsandth Man he’s worth ’em all,<\/p>\n

Be\u00adcause you can show him your feel\u00adings.<\/p>\n

His wrong’s your wrong, and his right’s your right,<\/p>\n

In sea\u00adson or out of sea\u00adson.<\/p>\n

Stand up and back it in all men’s sight –<\/p>\n

With that for your on\u00adly rea\u00adson!<\/p>\n

Nine hun\u00addred and nine\u00adty-\u200bnine can’t bide<\/p>\n

The shame or mock\u00ading or laugh\u00adter,<\/p>\n

But the Thou\u00adsandth Man will stand by your side<\/p>\n
