Well, now Thanksgiving is safely past, <\/p>\n

more turkey eaten this year than last, <\/p>\n

more stuffing stuffed, more yams jammed <\/p>\n

into our mouths, and using both hands, <\/p>\n

coleslaw in slews, biscuits by twos, <\/p>\n

all of us too fat to fit in our shoes. <\/p>\n

So let\u2019s look ahead to the big holiday<\/p>\n

that\u2019s coming, coming, coming our way. <\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure you know just what day I mean. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not Easter Sunday, not Halloween. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s not a day to be sad or listless. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a day of wonder. It\u2019s Christmas! <\/p>\n

Charlotte and Emily love this season. <\/p>\n

They\u2019re kids, so they have good reason<\/p>\n

to dream all year of that special<\/p>\n

eve because they truly and deeply believe a gift-giving fat man flies the sky, <\/p>\n

with toys and goodies galore. No lie! <\/p>\n

He\u2019ll soon be up there and on his way<\/p>\n

in a maximum-cool, cherry-red sleigh<\/p>\n

with camouflage stars on the underside, <\/p>\n

taking the wildest of all thrill rides, <\/p>\n

like a roller coaster on tracks of air, <\/p>\n

pulled by reindeer harnessed in pairs. <\/p>\n

So someday soon, they\u2019ll put up a tree. <\/p>\n

Why only one? Maybe two, maybe three! <\/p>\n

Deck it with tinsel and baubles bright. <\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be an amazing and wonderful sight. <\/p>\n

String colored lights out on the roof-<\/p>\n

pray none are broken by anything\u2019s hoof. <\/p>\n

Salt down the shingles to melt the ice. <\/p>\n

If Santa fell, it just wouldn\u2019t be nice. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
