Jak paused, his impassive face refusing to betray the intensity of his concentration.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2026there\u2026\u201d he said simply, indicating the direction.<\/p>\n

Ryan knew what the albino teen was thinking: it was an obvious move. These people either credited them with no intelligence or had an innate confidence in the conditions, leaving them with little option.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s do it,\u201d Ryan stated. \u201cI\u2019ll go clockwise, you counterclockwise. See how many there are, and how they\u2019re spread, then meet at the mouth of the passage, fill in the others.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat if they not want us meet up?\u201d Jak queried.<\/p>\n

Ryan grinned. It was cold, without mirth. \u201cThey\u2019ll want that\u2014right now they\u2019re wondering where we are. They\u2019ll be so relieved we\u2019ve turned up and they\u2019ve got us all in one place that they won\u2019t wonder what we\u2019ve been doing until it\u2019s too late\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
